Funeral Services For Arneva Drapeau

Funeral services for Arneva Drapeau, age 78, of Sioux City, Iowa will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at Ponca Tribal Headquarters in Niobrara, Nebraska. Curtis Boschult will officiate, with burial in Ponca Tribal Cemetery in Niobrara.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Monday and continue until service time at Tribal Headquarters, with a 7:00 p.m. Wake Service on Monday.

Brockhaus Funeral Home in Niobrara is in charge of arrangements.

Arneva died Friday, August 5, 2016, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Sioux City.

Arneva Faith Drapeau, daughter of Carl and Amelia (Knudsen) Drapeau, was born November 6, 1937, at Winnebago, Nebraska. She attended school at the Marty Mission in Marty, South Dakota.

Arneva lived in various places throughout her life, including Des Moines and Sioux City, Iowa. She was baptized in the Catholic faith and was a member of the Ponca Tribe of Nebraska.

Arneva is survived by her brother, Ernest Iron Thunder of Norfolk, Nebraska; sister, Rita Bohm also of Norfolk; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Claudette Vacha and Joann Robertson.
