Burial Services For Marjorie Kronberg

Mass of Christian Burial for Marjorie Kronberg, age 95, of Bloomfield, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 9, 2016, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Bloomfield. Reverend Tim Podraza will be Celebrant, with burial in Bloomfield City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with a 5:30 p.m. Prayer Service.

Marjorie died Monday, December 5, 2016, at Good Samaritan Center in Bloomfield.

Marjorie F. Kronberg, daughter of Othmar and Lena (Brandl) Gilsdorf, was born May 19, 1921. On May 7, 1946, she was united in marriage to Charles Kronberg at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Bloomfield. They were blessed with four children: Kathleen, Eldon, Mary Ellen, and JoAnn.

In April of 2004, Charles and Marjorie moved into Bloomfield. Marjorie lived in the Wausa and Bloomfield area all of her life. She was a housewife and mother, and worked with her husband Charles on the farm. She loved to work in her garden and make quilts, which many were given as gifts to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also loved to knit, and her family all has scarfs, mittens, and hats which she made. Marjorie was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Card Clubs, Christian Mothers, Ladies Aid, and a Knitting Club.

Marjorie is survived by her children and their spouses, Kathleen Nielsen of Bloomfield, Eldon (Pat) Kronberg of Bloomfield, Mary Ellen (Tony) Caruso of Cumming, Georgia, and JoAnn (Brad) Cuka of Meckling, South Dakota; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Alice June) Gilsdorf of Bloomfield, Earl (Katie) Gilsdorf of Bellevue, Nebraska, Melvin (Barb) Gilsdorf of Omaha, Nebraska and Clifford (Holly) Gilsdorf of Gayville, South Dakota; sister, Elva (Marvin) DeLaRoi of Bloomfield; and many nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters and brothers-in-law, LaVerna (Carl) Folkers and Darlene (Richard) Bratetic; brother and sister-in-law, John (Lena) Gilsdorf; brother, Ervin Gilsdorf; son-in-law, Dan Nielsen; grandson, Donald Bargman; great-granddaughter, Ava Bargman; and step-grandson, Danny Cuka.
