Konopasek Moves On Into Consolation Round At State

Niobrara/Verdigre senior Clay Konopasek moved into the consolations of the Class D state wrestling meeting.

At 160 pounds, Konopasek lost an 8-3 decision to Preston Walker of Elm Creek. Walker won again in the quarterfinals and will earn a medal.

Konopasek fell into the consolation bracket and will face Justin Pendleton of Medicine Valley right away on Friday morning.
