Buffalo Cookout And Cowboy Poems Saturday At NSP

Make plans to attend the buffalo cookout  at the Niobrara State Park Buffalo Cookout Shelter.  The cost is $13 for adults and $8 for children under 13.  The cookout will begin at 6 pm on Saturday, June 27. Reservations for the meal are required and must be made by noon Saturday.
Immediately following the meal will be the evening's entertainment.  Michael McDonald will be performing Cowboy Poems and NIght Hawk Songs.  These were often used years ago by cowboys for recreation, or for soothing cattle in the evenings.
The program is free; however, a park permit is required for entrance into the park.
