The Knox County supervisors will meet in regular session Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 9:30 a.m. in the supervisor’s room in the Knox County Courthouse in Center. The Knox County Board of Equalization will meet at 9:45 a.m. the same day at the same location. The Knox County Planning Commission will hold a regular meeting and public hearing Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the supervisor’s room in the Knox County Courthouse in Center. A public hearing will be held at 7:30 p.m. for the revision of conditions of a conditional use permit for Toy Shed Storage/Troy and Kristen Behounek in Frankfort Township. On Thursday, November 13th, the Knox County supervisors will hold a meeting at 9:30 a.m. The meeting will be held in the supervisor's room in the Knox County Courthouse in Center. Also meeting on Thursday, November 13th will be the Knox County Board of Equalization. This meeting will be held at 9:45 a.m. in the same location. The sandwiches will be ham or Center's famous cheese-spread sandwiches. They will also be serving a pie/dessert. Take out is available and there will be a country store and raffle. A open house for the Knox County Courthouse addition will occur on October 30th, from 2-4 p.m. in Center. The dedication ceremony for the new addition is at 2 p.m., which will also include a ribbon cutting and speeches. There will be tours of the Knox County Courthouse. Some of the places include the courthouse, the court room, and Annex #2 Renovated offices. Refreshments will also be made available. Residents of Knox County may get rid of old tires on Friday, October 24th. The event will start at 8 a.m. until at the county shed in Center. Tires will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis until 3 p.m. or until a total of 100 tons have been collected. Tires have to to be removed from the rims or they will not take them. Also, no tires will be accepted from dealers or anyone who collects a tire tax/disposal fee. Only tires from residents of Knox County will be accepted.
